All the chainmail is made of rings of stainless steel. I use this metal because it's strong, doesn't tarnish or rust and is hypoallergenic. All clasps and earrings hooks are also stainless steel. Some of the pendants are the only elements made of a different alloy, free of lead and nickel.

Thanks to the materials used, cave canem jewelry is waterproof and has a good resistance to scratching. You can wash them using soap and water. Be mindful that the items using smaller rings are obviously more fragile than the bigger ones, just like any jewelry handle with care so it can live its full life!

Earring's sizes can't be changed if the option for large and small isn't already present in the listing. Most necklaces are made in one default size, with an adjustable chain of a few centimeters. If you do need a different size please contact me and I will see what can be done so your piece can be perfect for you! All the pieces that require to be made custom to your exact measurement are stated as so in the product description.

All my earrings have one of three styles of clasps by default. If you would prefer another type, it is possible in most cases but please be aware that it can slightly change the look of the design. If you would like to request this change, please inform me of which clasps you would like instead in the information section when you place your order.
